11R. Over a 5 day period is good. If 1R = .5% then you get about 20% a month. Keep going and continue reviewing your work.

Yes, 11R would be nice.
I feel I should be able to get there and beyond with more experience.
Today was a day with various trades. 2 nice ones but my position size was smaller by mistake.

Price broke yesterday's high but wasn't able to stay above it. It kept dancing between yesterday's high and the 1.02 level.

Managed to get +3.5R in total today. Nice because I was afraid I would loose my +5.5R, ha, ha.
This brings my weekly score up to +9R

It's a nice score but I see so many things I overlooked, would have done different in hindsight, etc. etc.
But I also get a better feel for how price is behaving and that's good.

And I managed to follow my SSP (Super Simple Plan). Next week I will replace "not trading during lunchtime" (because that was too simple) with something else.

Hope you also had a nice week

9R is very nice also.
Continue to practice.
Continue to stay away from shinny things.
Continue to review your live trading sessions.
Continue to convert your hindsite into execution.
Don't limit yourself with return goals, set yourself up for success.

People don't understand the importance/power of mastering 1 pair, 1 session, 1 methodology.

Very true.
Oh, if only they know.

I fought and fought today but I wasn't insync with the market. Best I could do was 1.5% then finished at .9%. Better than a red day!

Last weekend something happened in my head. "I don't trade for R. I trade for cash"
It stayed in my head all weekend... "I trade for cash..."
As a new born warrior I started trading this morning (ftmo trial) and soon was very close to my profit target...then disaster struck and I lost 70% of my profits again. (My money management was sound, just every trade went wrong)
A bit annoyed I went for a nap, came back and traded London close.

My profit curve is the worst I have ever seen but hey...I am happy.
If I can make these trials easy peasy I am set to go.

If you passed in 1 day, consider reducing your risk. Protect your downside will keep you in the game. Try reducing your risk to 25% to 33% of what you currently use.

My risk was .62% per trade.
I can try to reduce it to .5%

I am going to try it again and again and again.
Getting it once is nice but I should be able to reach that goal every time I try.
(And for sure...I wil not be able to get it in one day every time, ha, ha)

It will also take a bit longer to reach the goal with less risk I guess

If you managed to get the goal in 1 day risking only that much, you're way ahead of the curve  . Out of curiosity, what were your trades and the outcomes? Meaning, how many W/L, and how much did you get out of each. Just wondering how you managed to reach the goal with 0.62% per trade  . But really, good job!

Truthfully I thought you was risking 2% or more.
.67% is good, try .5% and getting the full 8% or 10% on the 14 day demo.

R is money. What Alias really meant was cash as in quick, more sure return rather than sacrificing what you already have. Alias also takes sub 1R trades that has better guarantee to get hit rather than bigger R that is less sure to happen.

Talking about risk, anyone who aspires to trade using OTM such as FTMO and the gang must surely use small risk because the rules are centered around the preservation of capital first and then gains second. If I'm gonna do it I would only use 0.3% risk or lower considering my trading style. The market can be very harsh and when it hits your account then you will regret using a bigger risk. The name of the game is getting sure money for as long as you can, put some of the profit into your own real account and then trade it to the max. I think Alias already mentioned this concept somewhere in this thread (or other).
