Ezool's Trading Journey - Keeping it Simple with Horizontal Lines

Postby EzoolFX » Wed Oct 20, 2021 10:25 am

Hello everyone,

I am EzoolFX, or you can call me Jay. I have been lurking for a little while here on Kreslik and want to share my trading journey with you.

Like many, I have tried every method under the sun. EAs. patterns, indicator-based methods... whatever it is, I have probably tried it. It took me many years to realise that the method really doesn't matter, especially when you hop methods every day like an idiot! It was about my mindset... I was looking for the holy grail and there ain't one!

Thankfully, I've either traded extremely small accounts or demo, so I haven't felt the financial 'sting' of my idiocy.

Now, I am trading the WALMAL method but with the added bias of the daily direction:

H1 opens between two lines (plotted every 10 pips)
H1 & D1 green = buy at higher 'sweetspot' line
H1 & D1 red = sell at the lower 'sweetspot' line

Enter the trade, follow my exit playbook, rinse repeat. I've been doing way better with this, so I wanted to create a thread where I share all of my trades as a means of journaling and maybe helping others as well.

DISCLAIMERS:
1) WILL BE TRADING A DEMO ACCOUNT AND WILL INFORM IMMEDIATELY WHEN GOING LIVE
2) I SUCK AT FORMATTING POSTS SO BARE WITH ME ON THAT AS I AM NEW TO THIS

Hello! Always nice to see someone going with the horizontal line approach  .

Hah, you're not alone  .

This is just my opinion (or at least what I've seen through experience). What a good method will do is put you in a position where, more often than not, you'll be in profit sooner than later and it'll give you, over time, more opportunities to take pips. Of course is your job as a trader to take the profit when you can and follow your plan. Even with the best method in the world, everything goes out the window if you can't follow your plan and manage your trade. So good job on sticking with your selected method and having your plan to follow already.

Good luck with your trading! =D>
