Me too, curious about T-60 charts vs 1min. Are there any simple solutions to get tick data onto mt4? I researched a little while ago, couldn't really find a worthwhile solution.

I don't think you're going to find a way to incorporate true (or even any) tick data in mt4.

In fact most of the so-called tick data you will be seeing will be synthetic.

However in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter, as what is it we do here?

Trade What We See.

I don't care if the price information I'm seeing is being carved out on a stone tablet by a team of trained monkeys.

Show me a trigger and I'm in.

What you should actually be looking for is the fastest execution times between pulling that trigger and being filled - and even more importantly, the fastest execution of you hitting the close button and bagging your plunder.

Yup, you're right , I agree.

you can create an offline tick chart using an indicator in mt4
i used to do that
it was a pain in the ass
but it worked nice
of course the charts value will depend on brokers datafeed
thats whole another conversation

i dont know what you are trading
but i think you need to choose the weapon for the fight
because everytime you gain something you lose something else ---- very fkn insighful lol

with tick charts you gain the idea where the action is
you will get candles every time there is something going on
BUT
you lose the timing
you wont see price stalling ---- accepting some levels etc.
and PRICE IN TIME is very important to me
so much depends on timing
but thats me ---- i used to trade without charts for almost a year
so looking back i need to see if we stayed around levels for a minute or 5 or 10
long fkn story
nobody cares

NOW AGAIN
i dont know what you need them for
but its not like one is better than the other
as TRO stated many times here: price is the same on every timeframe

paweldobkowski, Thanks - I get your flow. I did this in the past as well:

Yup, no beuno. Just curious thats all. Tinkering with stuff, like all the rest of us.

Good day, bud.

Edit: I'll explain. Like my friend Alias stated earlier "This is why I still research ideas so I can see if there are better ways to improve on my methodology."

Monday morning rolls around again. Woop-dee-doo, lol.

Uber-quick move on The DAX at the KO bagged me my share. +5.49 run off the 2-min Chart cw HA Candles + Thunder and Lightning.

Break now and then I am going to go on a scanning trip to see if there are any likely long(er) tf set-ups building.

Looking at the higher time frames, I have added these to my watch list for the new week:

UC If it doesn't bounce, then potential short.
AU Possible Long.

Back in a mo...

Sorry 'bout that. I pulled up The DAX and this set up fell into my lap, so as you do...

DAX T-25

I had a +5.49 from my morning play on top of this, so not too bad for a grim Monday.

EU Mmmm...a weak long. Very weak.
EJ an even weaker long (missed the better, earlier, move).

Russ2K A quickie long.

That'll do for now - I'm bored looking.

I think I'll sit on the Russ2K for a bit and see if anything kicks off at the US Open.

I'm due a phone call at the same time, so this could get interesting, lol.
