I've been keeping an eye on AU and it still holds true that there could be an option coming soon. However, for now, take a look at the rebound back away from the 50. That's going to delay things a bit if indeed it ever gets into the long set up now.

Anyway, it makes for interesting viewing while we wait for it to make up its mind.

I've had a few of you contact me re the different settings both for the Ichimoku and MACD windows between my broker's cTrader variant and bog-standard mt4.

I am in the process of looking into this.

In the meantime, I'd say get it as close as you can get it and run it anyway.

Looks like we're not, in fact, getting the change in direction that had been hinted at previously. Not yet, anyway.

We need to wait to see if price will break and hole below the 23.6. If it does, we will re-investigate.

Until then, we could bag some pips from some bouncey-bouncy action between the 23.6 and 50 levels. Just for giggles

EURCAD - a pair I have rarely looked at, is giving us an interesting conundrum tonight.

On the H4:

Looking at that chart, I'd be in no rush to get involved yet, with messy candles and indecisive price action and the cloud showing flat.

However, one thing that I would be happy about is what I am seeing below.

A wide view of The Daily shows the levels we are dealing with. Yes, there may be a zone we are flirting with just now, however should price push through, there is an awful lot of downside potential.

Well, we got the move away into the short we would look for but it's hardly convincing.

There is a distinct lack of oomph behind it - and I will be waiting for the drop to push a good bit deeper before waiting to get in on any pullback from that.

It may still fly but for now, wait...

AU continues to work it's way up the ''of interest'' chart.

Again, it's not quite there yet. The overall fib is showing us the 50-level is proving difficult to breach.

Running the opposite one, shows where the battle lines are drawn, as we are sitting on the 23.6 level on this.

This, in effect, gives us a trapped range between 1.71487 and 1.71753

The AU set up continues to progress.

We could be looking at a trigger on that tomorrow. Hopefully it won't happen overnight at stupid-o'clock.

I'd like to see us continue on sideways while staying above the 50. That should pull our ma trigger up and if we get a test-and-fail rejection candle, we'd be off and running.

Down at the sharp end, I am going to be waiting for an entry on the HK Index tonight. There are still two hours till the market re-opens but this paid off last night and I'd be happy to get involved with it again tonight, given how the chart is sitting.

Finally for now, the EC (non) set up is telling us that the call to not get involved yet was the correct one, as price is still sitting around with its thumb up its a**.
