Yes, very successfully. Surprised, not many traders use it. I did take enough time to understand ins and outs, special thanks to Billytt at FF. Currently doing the second week of forward-testing and collecting stats, which are foundational for trading the system. Hope you get to come over to FF and learn from the author. An important caveat, one needs to be present at 8:00 London time and for a couple of hours after.

RIP

It would be at 7.00 am for me but I start to work at 8.00.

Would BUY ZONE be a better fit? It was knockout when I (re)tested it last year.

I had it set to Kick Off at UK Midnight. So 23:00 for you? I know it would mean late nights but potentially set-and-forget.

I also have my Dead Zone variant, The Witching Hour, which ran on two optional time slots - either Midnight - 01:00 (so active from Open of 01:00) and/or 23:00 - Midnight (so active from Open of Midnight).

We will crack this!!! Hang in there :D

Vouching for any of these.

The good thing is that there's surely one of these that'll give you a zone to trade away from and that you can adjust to your schedule.

Thank you guys!
23.00 is good for me.. and yes, I followed the thread and saw the results

However I noticed that the spread goes crazy around that time (for something like 15 minutes, not more), could it be a problem?

Good point and something that would have to be looked at but not unworkable.

When Wanna and I were on it, he specialised in EJ and EG...I think, lol...I'll check. We called it Train Tracks as he then morphed it into a variant that worked for the ES. It became like a combination of Dead Zone / Twilight Hour and Buy Zone.

Let's face it - this is what we need - to find a time slot that suits and find a regime which gives us a line for you to trade as price crosses it, whatever the direction. It's not what the line is that's important, it's where and how we place it.

LeM, do you mean something like a weekly close?
Or something ‘intraday’?

That's what we need to figure out. What will suit you most and fill your needs.

I reckoned something that could be made to work through the day, so time slot would not be such an issue and you could fit it around your schedule.

Something you could dip in and out of.

There used to be a strategy we played with on higher tf...top-and-tail, it was called if memory serves me right. Or top-and-trail...???

Followed along the lines of price moves on, forms candle. Entry placed at other end of candle. Price reverses, in you go. Price keeps on going, you move your prospective entry up to rear of next candle.

My memory is rusty on it but you can see the potential in that concept.

Not saying that's the answer but, gives us a new...something.

Even more helpful if you flip the second fib to make use of the retrace levels on the way up...

Sure. I don't trade much on a Friday, so if I get the chance, I'll run a sequence for you.
