This extended C-Fork is holding up really well. It's certainly giving some info we could use in the coming week.

An interesting look developing for us today. A couple of ways to play a Short move for later in the week (or early in next week, more likely now).

Thank you, it looks like a real bomb
Do you enter at the breakout of the O/C line or do you wait for a wick?

However my spread is 0.5 :( aka a real killer

Sorry, guys. Didn't see the conversation starting or I'd have jumped in earlier.

The play you're talking about is actually named The Dead Zone. This zone is an extension out from the hour preceding the US Open, so for me that is the noon - 13:00 candle. You play that zone as a WZ trade, either as a break of the extreme or (my preference) as a move back into the body.

I took a long time to sort out which pairs work best for this, it is not random, with the group updating and morphing as time moves on, with markets changing.

I got the list up to eleven and that amount is manageable. In fact, that group was smaller in practice, as spreads often are unworkable, which is a pity, as in a couple of cases, those pairs were actually the best suited.

As an aside, the pairs were chosen as they all shared the same kind of movement and behaviour.

However, as time has gone on, the best performers have come to the fore. These are (in order) UC, EJ and AU.

If you can only run one - and I have a friend who specialises in this - then run UC. It genuinely is like clockwork. Money in the bank.

Off the top of my head - the Dead Zone computer is off - the pairs I ran originally were: UC, EJ, AU, GU, UNok, CJ, UJ, GOLD, S&P, GN and EG. I think.

The ones that really don't pan out due to spread, are GN and UNok. Such a shame, as they are fantastic.

Since then, I have contracted the list on a general day-to-day basis. I haven't actually dropped any, I just added some that now work and only use the others if there are no better options.

UC is always checked first.

Added are DAX (surprise, surprise), Platinum, Russell2000, EA, UCNH and FTSE.

Now, it is no coincidence that these pairs - and I've no doubt that I have missed some out - are near enough the same as those I use for the BZ set-ups I run.

Ok, so that's that established. Now for the added colour...

When Wanna and I hung out over this particular fence, he also ran my Witching Hour (it suited him, being Texas-based) and as he also liked my Frankenbreak (which killed him time-wise, as it ran before the Frankfurt Open into the UK Open), we ended up combining the two concepts into one mutant method, TrainTracks, which was developed specifically to run on the ES. This is what you are looking at for his method here. It is basically a variant of the BZ entry (he looks for +1 / +2 pips).

So, you can see and appreciate that there have been a lot of developments to the base method(s) since the start of the thread - including my binning the use of the Sema.

What I do now, is use S+D to give me my bias. I am looking for the Dead Zone to form with an S or D Zone running alongside. This means I will look away from UC more often than I did in the past.

TRO built me a custom indi for this with all sort of bells-and-whistles but it is based off of the HL5 indi (I think, I'll check) and that will do the job.

The actual subtleties of managing the trades are another post entirely - as they involve counter trading and unwinding of locked in ''bad'' trades. This has been messed with by the ESMA s**** but in fairness, you can run it without having to counter.

Anyway, I'll leave it at that and brace myself for the questions! :D
