Thanks again MIRA and DOJI- that chart Mira posted and the explanation was SO important - and was something I must admit I had sort of overlooked.

I don`t really trade like you guys - and yet your ideas are so similar in many areas- the approach of MOMO towards the origin of another MOMO in the other direction is yet another critical point (and an excellent reason NOT to take a trade - if that parameter is absent)

here is today's trade - the idea of momo approaching the origin of MOMO is really clear here

EDIT I will go back on my stats now - I reckon that I just may have been doing this anyway and that has got me a good win rate (only on this type of trade) - I am now left wondering if I could achive more with this with this knowledge

You are welcome Captain! :D
All I know is from MO and Doji but when you start looking with your eyes... it's magic!
That pic with momentum origin was before Doji told us about the close over the previous extreme.

Funny to 'suddenly' come to realize its all here and always was but never really hit me.

Drew a H4 Dragon line on the chart, price failed to go up and while moving away from this extreme it broke
down the m15 momontum zone.

Funny thing how i was searching for a bias, i just stumbled upon it. Nothing fancy, just making sense at this moment and not before.
Just using the 'standard' lines of semas/zlines/50% etc..

Look how trades could have been started waiting for a momentum zone close beyond on the m5 chart, using the M15 as bias...

Perhaps finally my approach of 'making it difficult' is falling off?

Thanks guys for your patience.

Phil

Some trades I took based off the M15 momentum zone. It was closed below thats when i did enter.

First trade went quickly in profit, and was closed. Others we're on the retrace back to the m15 momentum zone.
Got to find out a good way of 'waiting'. Those entries we're small trades.
Had price closed above the zone WITH momentum, i would have closed those longs and reversed.

See how it just tagged the m15 momo zone instead and went down. I closed it when price was around the m15 zline.
Now i need to keep rehearsing this until it becomes boring.

Thanks doji

todays effort

The first trade was (I think) what was being shown on this thread

The second is one of my own - that said, I managed to reduce my stop thanks to the information presented here

The exits are mine based on what I think - tho the first exit i cut short for some stupid reason

Plus I took all the shite off of my charts for clarity
