From what I can see it just was a good trade.
I mean I can't see the execution but the idea looks fine.

It "spiked with no mercy" because many people believed in the same setup that you did and than they took the loss.
By taking a loss you contributed to that move aswell.

MightyOne many years ago said something like: "if you can see where is the loss then you can see where is the profit" (WHICH IS A HUGE FKN PARAPHRASE).

Anyway, from my perspective you need to remember that in trading, like in any business you invest in idea, sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't.

That is normal. It's good that You asked.

To be honest with You I don't think anyone knows. I don't think You can know if the trade will actually work. The only thing You can judge is Your plan execution.
From the pictures I saw it seems like You had a plan and was patient enough to execute it. That will pay in the long run.

Some guys are winning on breakouts which is basically betting on SUP/RES to fail.
Others are winning on bounces off SUP/RES.
If You ask them to judge each others losing trades they would laugh their asses off.

Again, like in every business, in order to win, You need to find what You are good at and go tunnel vision on it.
