Hackers Shut Down Polish Regulator KNF’s Website

Hackers brought down the website of Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), in a cyber-attack believed to be “from another country” and the first ever to result in a service outage, according to a KNF spokesman.

The Polish regulator said it is probing a suspected cyber attack targeting its internal website systems, which was discovered earlier today, and the country’s law enforcement authorities have been already informed.
