CEX.IO Adds Ethereum Trading as Ether Price Falls Below $8

Bitcoin exchange CEX.IO has just added Ethereum support to its selected lineup of cryptocurrencies. The firm announced today that it launched both ETH/BTC and ETH/USD for trading to its members, as well as a “buy Ether” feature. In addition to just trading, CEX.IO notified its clients that they can now simply buy Ether coins directly with cards by Visa or MasterCard, or via bank transfers.

The exchange explains the decision to add Ethereum support as its overall market capitalization is around $600,000,000 and ETH average market price is about $8, “which is many times higher than most altcoins on the network.” This move shows that ... (read more)
