Alpari Obtains Russian Regulatory License, SRO Approval Still Pending

The Russian subsidiary of one of the oldest foreign exchange brokerages, Alpari Forex LTD has received regulatory approval from the central bank and has become the latest company that is officially authorized to operate in Russia pending some legislative requirements.

One such requirement is the membership of the company in a self-regulatory organization (SRO) that is approved by the Bank of Russia. The financial mega-regulator has issued a license to the Association of Forex Dealers (AFD), an SRO that was recently created and has all of the regulated forex dealers in Russia as members.
