It kills me inside when new traders want to be day traders

Start with the H4, daily even, and work your way down:

there is a MASSIVE skill difference between a successful day trader and a swing/position trader. . .
it looks something like this:

(Day trader) Don_xyZ <------------------------------------------> 12yo with ADHD (swing/position trader)

You don't want to be a 12yo with ADHD, I get it, but that's where you need to start

Once you have a cushion of profit, and a few years of experience, you can consider being a day trader.

Most people want to burn me as a witch, I can't do any worse

lol. It make sense though as one will be more inclined to stick to a plan and also get a good foundation in risk/MM techniques. Less impulsive entries and hopefully less inclination to play with the stop loss.
And wont get cut up as well.
