changing ship ! the rats are leaving Belgium!

Postby forexbob » Wed Aug 17, 2016 11:49 pm

it has been in the news, that the regulator of the financial markets in Belgium announced that there was new law in place
prohibiting binary options / cfd / spot forex and in principal all leveraged trading.

http://www.fsma.be/en/Site/Repository/press/div/2016/08-08_banning.aspx

well reading the law it seems all very confused where the line is.

c.q. which products are prohibited etc.

but , the first email is in

axitrader is closing accounts of belgian residents.

only closing trades allowed from 18th of august.
and at end of month they will close all open positions.
(very fast, although law gives a 2 month period for closing open positions)

no forex trading anymore in belgium.

(well professionals and companies are excluded)

so voting with my feet.

address change is out......

but which country is next

Was hardly in favor of binary trading especially with having lost over 1k with various binary companies like FMbinary (closed out) and more, it’s great decision, but I do like to ask people will this really make any major difference? I very much doubt.
