What i learnt about Time and Price today

Postby bettlebox » Fri Mar 19, 2010 8:43 am

Hi

I learnt to see the importance of time of entries with in hour period and 5min bars (i use for entries). I found best time to consider a play was at begining of a new hour.

At beginining of a fresh hour i dropped down to 5 min chart and wait for 5 min to tick by watching to see ifs going to make breakout play or hit trigger line. Its a cat and mouse game with the end of 5 min bar with out getting caught in a breakout play. If you get right then you high probility play back to support/resistance areas. WHY?

Because if price isnt making new highs/lows then its going oppisite direction. simple

Theres no thinking, no ifs or maybe trades. Its just price and timing. If screw it up no problem just wait for next setup theres always one just around hourly corner <wink wink>.

look at picutre with hourly candle painted behind the 15 min bars and look at begining of each hour. See the pattern over and over again. Theres plays in the hours too, can you spot them. This knowledge has increased my numberof successful trades.

HI

my first 10+ pip trade today personel best so far on this system me.

Note time 15:00 , start of new hourly candle stick. wait for 5 mins to let first candle stick form. Second candle formed , on 5 min looking see if going break high of first, why? if price isnt making new highs its goes down.

By 3.5 mins into second 5 min candle it was Black and broke bottom , BAM!!!! im in short at 1.3538 nb i pull trigger 2 pips before i should to reduce my exposure on SL. H1 & D1 down time ride the gravy train. Close on fourth bar as it cam up to bottom of pervious bar. Closed at 1.3525.
BAM!!!

13pip -1pip spread =12pips in the bank.

no thinking no sweating over trades. checking price and time now all i do now. whats time? what the price doing? whats time? how i trade.

i know this isnt rat method but its working for me . im making money.

happy pipping

any chance you could attach your charts to your posts here on Kreslik by chance. This would save time you know.

bettlebox I agree with newschool if you stick to one thread you can contain all your info in one place. If you have a question that nobody is answering, PM the people you would like to take a look at your question. You're starting to get hard to keep up with. We want to see you grow.

These are only suggestions that IMO will help you grow, think organizational skills, document your growth; you will only have to go back and find your personal thread to see where you have been and how much you've progressed. With this said, I certainly have no right to tell you what to do. Cheers bettlebox.
