Guess what, if you place an .mq4 into your ...expert\indicator directory, they will work just fine and you can compile them to ex4 files if you wish. In MT4 try using the help file do a few if not many look ups, and it will tell you how to figure out how to product an ex4 file.
The neat thing about MT4 files is you are able to see the code and make minor and major changes if you so desire. This is a great way to learn what the indi is doing and why, in the first plece.
