upon your request, we have added a feature to restrict the maximum inline image size in the posts.
I have set the boundary to be 1000 pixels for the width and 2000 pixels for the height since you can easily scroll up and down, but it's tough to scroll left and right.
If the attached image exceeds one of these values, it will be automatically displayed as a plain attachement to be downloaded rather than an image on the page.
I will attach a 1000 pixels picture to this post and a 1001 pixels picture and it should display the 1000 pixels picture on the page while the 1001 pixels picture should not be displayed (only a link to display the picture in a separate window will be provided).

And now it's even better:
there will be created a resized thumbnail for every image that exceeds the 1000 pixels. You can click on the thumbnail and the picture will be shown in a newly opened window.
This feature will create a thumbnail for all new posts that contain an image wider than 1000 pixels.
