What people imagine it is like to exit with limit orders vs the reality. . .

how do you stop the market from stealing your soul? you trade smaller, you start at 1/6 to 1/4 size until you have a cushion of profit.

If you want to be a stupid SOB and trade at a size of 1 with no stop and no profit then, yeah, get REKT

I don't get it. Picture on right has limit buys, as in you're trying to get in at a better price after price moved out and up?

If you're short, you exit by buying back your contracts:

I am talking about using a limit order to exit a trade that you are already in:

You are basically just dragging a 'take profit' order down until a correction takes you out, and maybe linking it to a sell stop at some point:

- if it's not time to exit then don't use a stop loss.
- if price is not near a limit order then don't place a stop.
- if you place a stop then link it to the limit order.

The post was about the fear of not having a stop loss in place vs the reality of not using a stop loss.

Okay makes sense, this is where fear sets in for me. Trying to internalize it and figure out what it is.

1. When price is out, I keep holding. Then, I’ll add more once I see that price is “in.”

After this, either prices makes a new out and it continues in its path toward my take profit or The fear/greed comes when price makes an “in” but goes against me and I let it take out my original risk.

As I’m writing this, I think I figured out the problem #-o
