Had another look at the 500-Flip. Outside of the Daily Wick Zone overview, there was a lack of info surrounding it and the info that was there was contradictory - price below Daily Open but above Weekly - and so I played it tight.
To recap - the live bar will reverse the trigger bar - and if it doesn't, then it will break big out the other side.
So, I was looking for an initial move long. Got that, back into the body. However, it quickly stalled. So, as planned, with no intention of letting it go negative, I took what I could get - in this case a couple of pips before it hung up and turned.
Once that was in the bag, it was then a case of letting momo take over - and again, off it went as expected, dropping off in the opposite direction and we definitely got that momentum. Dropped like a stone.
Took the trip all the way down to the target - the Demand Zone below.
Once we got there, the original move was closed out and then took a bit extra on the bounce back up.
So...when you take a step back, you can see the overarching influence at play here. Daily Wick Zone. The gift that just keeps giving.

Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
Having wrangled my DWZ EJ all night and not really found much of anything else to interest me through the morning, I always keep an eye on the S&P in the US run-in.
Found a just-about-as-perfect a TS 1-2-3 set-up as you could ever hope to see...
If it doesn't go on all arvo, then it also holds HOLO potential for later.

That entry above went very, very, nicely indeed...
I went in on a double-dip entry when price pulled back to the go-level and I have now bagged some additional honey on the way back down. I would have been in on the previous bar and needed a second entry if I had been paying attention but hey ho, I wasn't at the charts and so I avoided that drama and got away easy...

On the 500-Flip set up, it went pretty smoothly. Not the biggest move I've seen but still got the job done.

Sorry about the uber-tight crop, had to be done to be allowed to post.

Hi LeM!
Is the “500-Flip set up” the 17.00/18.00 bar reversal that you was talking about?
Thanks!

Yep, that's the one. Calling it the 500-Flip means it's a little less confusing when the clocks change, lol.

Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
I don't trade Fridays much beyond my morning DAX (most of the time) and today I took the chance to head on out. As a result. I didn't trade this or see it unwind at all.
Looking at it now, it is a perfect example of how it generally behaves if the original reversal move fails, in that the following continuation move is usually a very good one.

Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
The 500-Flip move for today. Other than my DAX move first thing, this was all I worked on today.
The Supply Zone made me doubly confident it was going to drop, not break.
When I say ''all'' by the way, I'm not being flippant, this was a good, big-hitter of a trade. I literally mean that I was out for the rest of the day and couldn't have traded even if I wanted to.
I'd happily take one of those any day.

Lem, I'll have to admit occasionally I have a hard time figuring out where you enter and exit. So the arrow is your entry and the exit?
