Patch,
since you cant seem to pick a rat, Ive decided to help (mabee the correct term is 'enable') you by writing a simple indi, called here II_MADX, but mabee is should be called II_VBM...

ImageImageImage

you can see in the pics the daily bar counts and the amount of times the indi has "got it right" and correctly predicted the color of the daily candle.

Indi to follow if anyone is crazy enough to want it :)

Weirdly it seems to pick pretty well... and gets a lot of reversal bars right in the middle of long trends.... dont know why.... and it seems to do ok on series of alternating bar colors.... Odd.

I gotta tell you bredin, I am blown away. I am going to have to read the RATs thread and decide what my real, true color is.

If you do that would you write me an EA to check the rest of the story out?

In all seriousness, thanks a ton, and look forward to the indicator.

Thank you, I am humbled

hate to be a tease at this point but... the arrows shows the prediction for the CURRENT bar, which is made at the first tick of the new bar.

dashboard written, and it can elminate tfs you dont want cos this can be a little cpu hungry :)

one or two things to sort out before posting complete indis. I will post the VBM Dashboard, VBM, and the original MADX soon.

Still coding the statistical version, which I wont post but will post screenshots of.

Ok heres the indis I promised.

After much internal debate (and I little autopugilism) ive decided to release the source as well.

II_MADX, II_VBM, and II_DB_VBM have some inputs in common, the Px vars set the ma periods, and include comment will show the stats for the chart.

II_DB_VDM has a lote of Use.XXXX vars that are used to include/disinclude pairs and timeframes. The rest should be self explanatory, but are mostly to do with where/color/shape of the graphical objects.

Any Issues, just yell and scream a bit

G.

ps, can you believe that my spellchecker doesnt have disinclude or autopugilism?

Anyway, back to the orgiinal issue, Patch you should be able to fire up the II_VBM indi, look at the current bar and just be that rat.

HS! Got to try this. Heck, wouldn't even need EA if this is working with daily. Check it at start of day, set stops and check back tomorrow.

Thanks!

noushina,

do some analysis on wicks before you set your stops, a quick glance on E/N and i see a couple of 300 pip wicks. you could still get stopped out with the indi ending up being right..

I also see that most of the 'wrong' bars occur during or at the end of blocks of one color or other, its seldom wrong at the change.

Good luck :)
