This is the excellent indicator: DarvasBox realized by TheRumpledOne (in easylanguage), is inserted, together with a Trading System based on Darvas Box, in the Motherlodes of May and June 2006 that can be downloaded here:

In the attachment is a book with formulas for Metastock of Darvas boxes, an audio file and the pdf file: Darvas Workbook

There were two types of entries that I saw in the book:

- a breakout of the box with a very tight stop

- an entry near the bottom of the box;
only possible if one has defined the size of the box prior to it being fleshed out.



If you look at it another way, you could simplify it to just price:

- makes a new high close

- closes below the closing range (a wrapped range around the close)

- trades away from the lower close:
as it does so, creating higher boxes, trade away from those boxes:
