WorldRemit Closes $45 Million Credit Line to Expand Global Partnerships
After raising $100 million in 2015, WorldRemit has closed another round of capital financing, receiving a $45 million line of credit. The financing is being led by TriplePoint Ventures Growth and Silicon Valley Bank who had participated in their $100 million round last year.
Speaking to Business Insider, WorldRemit CEO and Founder, Ismail Ahmed stated that “we still have a lot of money from what we raised”. But, the line of credit provides them enough working capital to help expand their network of partners in emerging markets without having to worry about raising more money.
