KickICO Hacked for $7.7 Million, But All Funds Will Be Restored

KickICO, a blockchain-based fundraising platform, has been hacked for $7.7 million, according to an official announcement from the company.
According to the announcement, the security breach took place on July 26th at 09.04 UTC. The breach reportedly resulted in hackers successfully gaining access to “the account of the KICK smart contract,” and thus, KickICO token platforms.
