Ripple Secures the Services of Former HSBC Exec, Marcus Treacher

Ripple, a provider of financial settlement solutions, has appointed payments veteran, Marcus Treacher as its newest Global Head of Strategic Accounts with immediate effect, according to a Ripple statement.

Mr. Treacher joins Ripple after garnering more than three decades of experience in the transaction banking and payments space, including a lengthy stint at HSBC. In his new role as the Global Head of Strategic Accounts at Ripple, Mr. Treacher will be based out of the group’s London headquarters, where he will work to implement and commercialize Ripple’s distributed financial technology on a global scale.
