TOCOM February Volumes Driven Up by Gold and Oil

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) has today reported results for February trading metrics which shown an increase in customer trading volume which hit a new high for the exchange operator.
Volumes during February reached 2,677,075 contracts from customer traders originating from overseas, and represented just over 50% of the total trading volume 5,348,160 contracts, and thus passing the 50% threshold for the second consecutive month.
Month-over-month the February rise represents an increase of 190,843 contracts and up 7.6% from 2,486,232 contracts recorded in January 2016. This brings the total contract volume year-to-date to 5,123,361 contracts across 16 reported product lines. Compared year-over-year, January ... (read more)
