An ebook can be in any format - usually it is a doc or a pdf, but can be saved differently. It is simply a term used to describe an electronic copy of a book. It is another way of defining it - to be included among paperbacks, hardcovers, audio books, and now - ebooks! :)

Believe or not I LOVE books. Because I can touch them, I can smell them, I can hear the noise they make when I turn the pages, I can take notes and I can misplace them and still find them after some time.
And I do not need a computer to read them.
