Dukascopy's first Trader of the Year (from their contest)
He's from Australia. Works a full-time job, so he trades the daily charts. Uses three moving averages, trades strictly technical analysis, and watches multiple pairs since you get fewer signals. Says he needs to work on his exits, and admits that this kind of success in trading is new to him.
Won the contest with a little over 110% profit.

If you got a spare 8mins, its half a good listen.

The December trader of the month with 600 plus percent in one month was more impressive.

Yes, 652% is definitely something!:

1. I didn't know Dukascopy took US clients.
2. This means that he accomplished this on a max 50:1 leverage?!?
3. Cool coincidence to see that we share the same time zone.

4. The fact that trader of the year was just over 110%, I can only guess the other winners ( or top 3 for each month) take it easy for the rest of the year after their win or otherwise huge monthly return; or blow out their account w/ overleveraging. It might just be a case of slow & steady wins the race; i.e. The Tortoise vs. The Hare.

I think Dukascopy is running several contests, maybe in this one the prize is also $15,000 as I was trying to figure out on their website.
In that case, get the $15,000 , spend most of it on beer and women, and waste the rest of it. 8)

$15,000 was total prizes. $5000 first place and it is put into a trading
account where you can't withdraw it until you turn over $10 million in
trades. Also to get the prize you may be required to appear at Dukascopy
for a meet and great.

yeah right

for a little bit of pocket money, and the risk of a required 'meet and great'
many excellent traders will skip this 'opportunity'
