Not another Setup but the REAL Holy Grail

It's not often that I find anything on trading websites worth mentioning. Most are about more indicators. Do we really need another golf club to improve our swing?

This article is an exception:

http://www.eminiplayer.com/2009/06/lear ... rader.html

"..When adversity strikes even when you're doing the right things, it?s not unfortunate because greatness is not just about doing the right things, but about doing them even when they cause pain and discomfort- weathering the tough times is the inherent prerequisite for being great. Adversity is built into the game..."

Or as Kennedy said, "not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too."

This is what nobody talks about. You are gonna take some hits, you are gonna blow out accounts, you are gonna have the living s**t taken out of you. Can you stand up afterwards? Can you learn to fail and recover faster? Can you deal with uncertainty as a fact? That is the "holy grail".

That's why I like this post of yours so much:

...Trade in your off hours. Be prepared to work 16-18 hour days. Downsize every expense ? live like a monk. How bad do you want to succeed?

Everyone gets kicked in the balls in this business if they live long enough (check out Don?s August 2008 single day hit for the tune of $100k). I started off the week and promptly went 60 pips in the hole. If you let every failure stop you dead in your tracks you will NEVER win.

This week my focus is going to be clawing my way back to profitability 1 inch at a time (just like Al says). If you love trading this is what you have to be ready to do. Are you actually ready to allow yourself success or will you wallow in self-pity?

The first link, from the first post, does not work but you go to home-page and from there, on the right side of the home page, you will easy find Ziad's article!
