What ever happened to the proposal to reduce leverage in US to 10/1?

There was a big fuss. And all the brokers asked us to write letters. And it was the big news on all the forums. Now I've heard nothing for months.

Anyone know if the proposed regulation is still pending?

Curious because I've been thinking to change brokers and move out of the US, especially now that Dukascopy is a bank.

Thanks

I understood that the fuss was made before the public discussion phase was over and now the proposal is with some committee or other....

The proposal is stuck in committee, and being tweaked. I can assure you it will somehow be worse than we thought. It appears that the government is wanting public input as well as I understand it.
