All us traders need to know about money, its creation, movement, destruction and history.

Ive said a few things here on a couple of threads, mostly to patch, but everyone needs to know the whole story. so heres three awesome docos to put you in the picture.
1. The Money Masters
2. Debt as Money
3. Debt as Money 2

they can be purchased from
http://www.themoneymasters.com/

I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SITE OR THE PRODUCTION OF THESE DOCUMENTARIES.
with that said they can be viewed for free at youtube, and torrents are available from several sites.

Cheers

Yes, but I wanted to keep the topic to money.

edit: Zeitgeist covers much more than that, which I didnt think was necessary, and those three I mentioned are about 5 hours of viewing between them.

Yeah, I studied banking, finance and financial markets, and I can tell you that Zeitgeist is more about conspiracy theory than about stuff we would find useful. A very very very interesting doc that I watched is an english one on History Channel called The Ascent of Money. I found it amazing and very interesting! Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

I also watched The Ascent Of Money was was quite disappointed by the things they DIDN'T say, like when they were discussing the first french stock bubble they mentioned that the guy (whose name has deserted me, save that he was a scot and a condemned criminal) owned a bank and the trading company and that they resided in the same building, but neglected to mention that he was making loans (creating currency) specifically for the purpose of buying [his] stock.

All in all I rate The Ascent Of Money "Not Quite Worth Buying But Look For It At Your Favourite Torrent Site Just For Curiosities Sake, You Understand"

Cheers

The guy was John Law. As I remember it they actually TOLD the he invented paper currency to scam the people with a fake trading company and to raise his own stocks to use the "holland model" of making money. But still maybe I remember bad.. Anyway watch it - but don't buy it

Yeah, thats the story, they just didnt mention about the fact of making loans to buy his stock, I seem to remember during the whole series yelling "tell the rest of the story" at the tv

This is the second story of this type I've seen recently (the other one was in the NYT, I think, and mentioned Jekyll Is. Seems this stuff is becoming more mainstream every day.....

i've seen the money masters video last week.

I am studying economics. And what really makes me sick is that many of the things they say those people do to manipulate the money system are taught to us a something good.

people gotta wake up.. this video is from 1996.

Another comment.. that zeitgeist video talks about a "conspiracy". But i have found most of the topics exposed to be backed by facts.

Anyway thats my point of view.
