Hey kreslik.com forum-people, I've been lurking around here since I first discovered the place, sometime in Nov. '09. I found out about it through following TRO's Never Lose Again thread at FXCM Micro.com. I only came here occasionally to dabble in TRO's concepts and indicators and as time went on, kreslik.com has damn near become my homepage, this place is GREAT!! I'm definitely encouraged to participate here (however little or much) because all I see is a great exchange of ideas without the petty arguing I saw on other sites. I also like seeing that people are free to share their mistakes and even their losses in a supportive environment.
I'm not sure I can post much in terms of a trading blog like lukx, adaseb, cfabian, procharged or vane; I'll be proceeding with a few TRO scalping methods, and getting comfortable so I can let them run longer. (I definitely wouldn't mind catching reversals off of daily price extremes, LOVE that concept.) Also, DIBS, I read the Peter Crowns thread (thanks to razorboy for posting that one up.) I'll be trading off of 1hr & 5min charts.
So I have been trading Forex since Sept. '09, I demoed for two weeks and said "what the hell", since I had been trading stocks since Oct. '06, and all of '09 was very eventful with me learning about and trading options, then daytrading penny-increment options, which led to my discovery of binary options (which gave me some awesome experiences!) Not that I was ever any good at them, but I could NEVER live with myself if I EVER settled for a 2% a year bank account, or whatever 5% investments the banks offer, once I learned the potential of investing in the markets yourself. I think that when I break even for my total Forex losses, I will change my avatar and be brave enough to show my face like lukx, vane, noone22 and flinux. (Hopefully I'll break even while I'm still young and handsome, LOL.)
So, I trade with FXCM Micro and am currently down about $575, it's been a nice, long, slow, bleed for my account these last 4 & 1/2 months, fun!! I basically put in $50 and grind it down to my last margin call; but nothing else could motivate me to put in the long hours reading, focusing, making observations, and constantly reworking ideas in my head. {I've probably had satisfactory systems before, but I didn't fully understand money management, and didn't understand that drawdowns can be a part of trading, so I would rethink and system-hop.} Hopefully, I can be like scratty and work my next $50 UP instead of down.
I'm also trying so hard to get good at Forex quickly because I think I have a really good daily situation for it. Literally, I come to work, go to work on my work laptop and they leave me alone and let me keep my personal laptop open, right next to me, so I can TOTALLY watch the markets all day while doing my regular job. Can someone say "OPPORTUNITY..."?? Still waiting for "RESULTS."
I'm in NY so I trade EST, but I have no problem waking up 3AM EST to participate in the London session for a bit then going back to sleep. Also, I'm available for Asia & Australia first 3-4 hours AND also when my MT4 daily candle (and TRO's indicators) starts at 0000GMT, so can a guy get a little success already?? Anyways, another part of my goal is that I also want to annoy the hell out of my office-mate, by singing and humming the Pirates song all day long at work: http://kreslik.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17449#17449
Drain, drain, drain the banks,
Draining night and day.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Make the bastards pay.
but I can't really sing it now while the banks are draining me...
To sum it up, you guys are all great and courageous and ambitious for taking up this Forex opportunity/challenge (I can't convince ONE damn f#%$ing person I personally know to try and learn this with me), so I wish you all the speedy best, and do the same for me!! {I'd also like to thank the wonderful, worldwide internet/interweb for making all this possible}{and shame on America for possibly taking away my leverage.}
