Melanie,

Set one up! Last time I suggested to Avery that we should have a little get together - and so we did.

I'd love to see a Pirate Gathering, so that TRO has the forum to prove the Buy Zone and Buzzard Strategy work. I'd fly to AZ to attend!!!

Prove?

Each trader must prove it for themselves.

RicG,

I spent a week with Avery in Mexico. He'd be getting out of trades (with a profit) before I had the sense to get in.

He had an uncanny ability to know when to take a quick profit, and when to hold out for a bigger piece of the pie. He also knew when to get out with a small loss.

He traded circles around me that week (I broke even and he made at least a couple grand - some of that was in a swing EURUSD trade I recall). I watched over his shoulder the whole time. I couldn't figure it out. I was using the same method (the BuyZone) wasn't I? It took me some time to realize that Avery is a master tape reader. Since then I've learned a few things about reading the tape myself.

If you are having trouble trading S/R or the BuyZone I strongly recommend a few hundred hours of screen time (on a simulator like NinjaTrader or NeoTicker is even better - replay at 10X speed). Although with the new buzzard strategy the odds are in your favor so much of the time that tape reading skills are less imperative - but still helpful.

So Avery when is a good time for you regarding this pirate gather?

Ed:

I don't "reading the tape". I am simply a "leaf" floating in the market "stream".

You have to remember, I am a pure scalper.... my long term trades are usually a mistake - didn't stop out when I should have.

It doesn't matter if I make more or less than you do. All that matters to you is whether or not you come out ahead.

Remember, when one trades the same currency over and over again, they gain market "knowledge".

That's why I left a bunch of pips on a few Buzzard trades because I wasn't familiar with those pairs, so I just grabbed a few quick pips.

I just emailed Michal to see if he's available for a gathering.
