I would like to welcome everyone to a new type of thread. This thread is NOT my thread, it is an open invitation for all.

The rules are simple.

There is only 1 rule:

-No posting of trading charts are allowed.

Just about any idea, topic, thought, picture, illustration, etc. is what this thread is about that directly has an effect on trading success even though it might not specifically mention trading within.

We should not view money as "money".

Let's imagine money as being "seeds". Take a bunch of hundred dollar bills and smash them up to create little "seeds".

Everything begins with a seed, even an entire forest can be the result of just 1 seed.

Forex Farming:

Create several "seeds" of $XXX's.

Start to "water it". If it does not begin to grow, adjust the amount of "light" and "water" it is getting. As it begins to grow, add special "fertilizer" to increase it's rate of growth.

If this one seed withers and dies, have several more seeds ready to go.

Remember, we do not want to run out of seeds (person who runs out of options!)

Once one of the seeds grows into a "tree", then you will be able to eat from it for the rest of your life.

Procrastination:

Eliminate Fear
You see, you've got these emotions pulling you back and forth. It's like an internal tug of war. Some days you're good and others days - not so good. Positive emotions pull you towards what you want; negative emotions push you away.

In a sense, procrastination is a form of self-sabotage. If fear didn't exist then you wouldn't be putting things off. You just go for it!

But since you're putting things off (like we all do at some point) then your negative emotions must be stronger than your positive emotions; or in other words, your fear is winning the tug of war.

If you want to eliminate procrastination, then eliminate your fear. Just ask yourself: Are you pushing away the things you want? And if you are, are you pushing them away because of your fear of success or your fear of failure?

Once you get clear on what's stopping you, you can reframe those fears and empower yourself to take action.

Cultivate Desire
Remember, emotions govern your behavior. Fear pushes you away from what you want and desire pulls it towards you.

Your emotions are what drive your behavior. If you keep putting something off, then you don't have a burning desire to do it. No desire = no action.

So, how do you cultivate desire?

You start with the end in mind. How will things look when they're all done? What will you see and how will you feel?

If you can associate strong emotions with the end result, you can cultivate a burning desire. Then watch how fast you jump into action

We all want FINANCIAL FREEDOM, ...SOMETIMES.

"Someday I'll" do all those things to achieve all my GOALS that lead to FINANCIAL FREEDOM...SOMEDAY!

SOMEDAY = In the morning, In the morning turns into next Monday which turns into next month. A year has passed and "Someday I'll" has gotten the best of you.

Stop using your brain to think up elaborate rationalizations and justifications for NOT TAKING ACTION!

Losers make excuses and WINNERS make PROGRESS.

You must develop discipline in order to resist the temptation of EXCUSES.

NOTHING WORKS WITHOUT SELF-DISCIPLINE.

You could have the best technical analysis and fundamental analysis in the world but it WOULD NOT WORK WITHOUT SELF-DISCIPLINE!

"My desire has/is burning,........burning a whole in my pocket. lol Well, not so much this year. "

The worst that should be happening is the account bleeding to death very very slow and painfully :)

Not like a bullet to the head account death.

You are in control of your weapon of choice :!:

Look at the STRUCTURE of a TREE:

All outer branches, the thinnest and most fragile, gradually turn into branches and then meet up with the large and stable trunk.

All outer branches no matter where you start end up at the trunk.

Think about how does this relate to trading...
