Don't think too much. Just trade what you see 1st. Then ask questions later.

03 Jan 2011 : IT IS FINISHED. I FEEL TA P0W3R (rofl).

NOW LET'S GO DRAIN THE BANKS.

_____________________________________________________________

To do list (minor things to do, not high priority anyway):
- Possible alarm bugs
- Improve RELA_SentimentReader_AFPI_CT_SH.mq4
- Redo indicator for statistics for average H1 range per hour on every hour
- Finalize Statistics for Daily Wicks And Bodies indicator
- Minor bugs (which I think they won't matter too many anyway)
_____________________________________________________________

What I am very sure about :
- Fractional Product Inefficiency (basic and advanced) + Interest Rate Changes + Carry Trade
- Trend Lines and Trend Channels
- Supply and Demand Line Zones from Modified Barros Swings
- Jason Alan Jankovsky's work
- Rat Trap / ZeroLines
- Multiple Timeframe Analysis
- Modified Barros Swings : The Additional Rules + adding 10% of the adjacent 1-period swing for periods higher than 1 are not used.
- Dow Theory
- Swing/Wave Ranges Statistics
- Bell Curve Statistics
- Pip Time Efficiency (P/Te)
- Spread to Daily Candles Average Ranges Liquidity (S/Rl), based off statistics from past 20 weekdays of the week and last 20+ trading days
- Psych Zones / Round Numbers
- Market Profile
- GMMA / EMA fantails

[s]Wave Analysis - screw it, I don't need it!
- How FZRs can be correctly integrated. I see something, but its not fully complete.

Various Thoughts / Notes : - screw it, I don't need it!
-Will start research based off M12 and H1 Modified Barros Swings, constructed from M1 candle data, with a reasonable data sample size of last 25 days
-To explore other theories
-An acceptable outcome of the research can be 'nothing'
-Ideally act as an leading indicator for wave movement projections
-Understand its limitations as the data is still historical
-According to other theories, waves are fractal in nature.
-To sharpen the theory using observation backed up by statistics and probability
-Ideally be applicable to tick level data if it is properly available
-Must take into account that the market is a zero sum game, market order flow, game theory, market structure and market psychology
-Must be able to generate statistical proof of edge?
-Must be able to automate labeling of wave types?
-Must be able to give trade suggestions?
-Must be able to react to market changes?
-Must take into account of mulitple timeframe analysis?
-Must be simple to understand and easy to use by other traders?
-Must be able to act as an independent tool from other tools, yet synchronize with them in terms of analysis and trading decisions?
-Must take into account all kinds of price movement, including news and bank interventions ..etc?

Yup you can still use it with the stats.

You tried force loading candles? Which broker are you using? I think I have similar problems for the higher timeframes too using AVAFX, so I am laying off oil now till I find a better solution (despite of having an open short position running at 250++ pips LOL!).

Gartley 5-0? Well.. Its not intentional on my end to see such patterns using this indicator, but if you see it that way, mind explaining?

The reason why I hesitate to use such patterns is mainly because of the technical problems with zigzags. According to what I've studied/observed, the accuracy of using gartley brings a few seemingly unsolvable problems, hindering its use :

-Zigzag/Swing definition; everyone seems to have their own way, all are different
-The correctness of Zigzag; there are too many ZZ variations, just look at how many MQ4s/ZZ indicators are made.
-Which timeframe to look for the pattern and apply it?

Good good, alpari demo but not enough history for oil as the earliest bar is 20th june 2011, is force loading candles changing max bars in options? If so have already done this, suppose could put it on the brent chart but the spread is dearer and I am tight lol. On the gartley 5-0 I know little about this but just thought the very beggining of my chart looked like a 5-0 and the other part I thought looked like a 5-0 started on the 9th nov on my chart my user ID definitely sums up what I know of gartley patterns and how to trade them;)

Thanks Zhao,

Its actually pretty much the same, just more efficiency coding. The waves/trendlines are used in the same manner as the previous version.

The new aqua horizontal lines are a new discovery. Basically these work like Supply and Demand Lines as far as I can see it. These work off the modified formula from Barros Swings :

1- Say the line is DOWN on D1 chart with period 1.
2- Continue to draw a DOWN line until we get a day where its high exceeds the previous day?s high
3- Here the line turns UP; so mark the 'beaten previous day's high by drawing a line across.

The same rules apply for periods bigger than 1. When you think about it, it actually becomes breakout OR bounce trading off price extremes.

FYI I don't use the Additional Rules and the 10% filters.

So you can see, its nothing but straight lines. No squiggles.

I chose not to put out too much wordings on the left side yet at this point. I am trying to find a way to use as fewer words as possible, while still reflecting all the necessary price action / waves / lines interpretation needed.

Or, you can just use this indicator now as it is. Trade what you see. It should work.

Hello Relativity,

when you say supply demand zones, do you mean the same as those used by Sam Seiden?

thicker horizontal lines are calculated from higher time frames?

thank you for your sharing.
