I just stumbled onto this thread and noticed that it is quited extensive and has evolved a lot since 2006. Can someone sumarized for me where to start or specific topics that I should focus on?

That really depends on what you're trying to accomplish, there are numerous topics/forums of enlightening conversation here.

If you're interested in scalping check out the DTB threads.

You'll have to be a bit more specific on your goals to get clear direction, if I were you - I'd do myself a favor and scavenge the entire forum. A lot to gain.
