Hello to TRO and other great pirates,

I"m relatively new to the forums and have been trying to digest as much information as possible. And though I may be new I recognize a winner when I see it. And MTC seems a winner! The kicker being I'm on the short side of 30, and have several thousand dollars to get going, but am nowhere need the 25K that TS seems to require just to open a daytrading acct. I'll just be open about this, at risk of taking a pat on the head or an idiot comment or two, but is there any way to get this going with say around 10K? I'm sure that lack of capital will provide me a bit of due dilligenge and ever more education in the coming months, while I scrimp to get together more capital. Any experiences or ideas about how to get this jumpstarted would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks to TRO and all the others that seemingly come here day after day without a guarded attitude, or condescending nature that seems so common in forums and just the good ol' world in general. Thanks in advance for helping the getting started guy!

Call TS, you can open a Forex account with $5000. I'm not sure what the amounts are for futures and stocks.

atexanguy,

Yeah, also check out stock index futures. You can start an account with $5000 with either TS or any major broker.

For Forex you can start an EFX account with as little as $500.

Welcome aboard!

I would suggest you start small and open a $500 account at www.efxgroup.com ( tell them The Rumpled One sent you ).

If you follow the plan, that $500 will grow 10x, then 100x or more within a year. Just don't get greedy and don't be in a hurry.

Feel free to ask questions.

Stop by my www.paltalk.com chatroom the TWO PERCENT CLUB.

Thanks for all the pointers, and the welcome. Very glad to be here. I appreciate everyone's help. I will definitely be stopping by Paltalk. And I will be opening that account in the next couple of days after the recco. I've been digging around for weeks, so thanks for the help. Is there any particular thread(s) that would be of especially good reading to start -within the context in which I'm starting? Thanks in advance for all of the questions that I know I'll be asking.

Hey atexanguy

I love your picture/icon. In response to your 1:46pm post this afternoon, do a search for "buy zone" and read everything that comes up and take notes and write out your questions.
