Predicting the behavior of the market, one of the most important skills of the active trader. In the history of the trade can find a huge number of different ways of forecasting situations. Some team members even compete with each other. There are many disputes and doubts about the accuracy of a prediction. If you want to reach high achievements in this field, you often have to rely on the advice of more experienced members of the Exchange, the methodology worked out by many years, but simply to develop and use their knowledge and gain experience. Some tips can be found for example here www.freerobot2010.com

Really, stop spam. Nobody here is interested about your free robot.

unfortunatly spammers arent interested in our opinions about spam. their method is to signup a new user, post their spam a few times and never return to that username, since that user will almost certainly be banned from most forums. They do not read the responses.

The best block method is probably by poster IP which (at least in theory) stops the spammer from coming back, but also might block a legitimate user.

Some forum software can require a user to wait a period of time before their first post, force a users first post to be in a certain forum, or other time-delay strategies which can frustrate spammers somewhat. I have even heard of a webspider that looks for spamlike forum posts on other forums and report back potential spammer login ids (since the tendency is to use the same name on a bunch of different forums), and in combination with a 1st post waittime, eliminate or reduce spammers from a forum.

On the plus side they do leave a website address for people to attack, if they were so inclined ;)

Could always limit a new user to 1 post a day for his first 5 posts.

I would also set if up so that if a person has less than 50 posts and 2 posts are flagged as spam then that persons user name would be temporarily disabled until a moderator activated it again.

During registration, in addition to the control that already is done via email for activation, we could add a captcha in order to reduce automated spam.

The forum software is quite outdated and lacks many options, I'm afraid. Captchas, by the way, seem to be no obstacle anymore. When I installed forums, the best results were achieved with simple custom questions during registration such as "what is 1+3" or "what year is it" or even "leave this field empty" along with email activation. Simple but effective.
This does not help against human spammers, of course...
I'd blacklist certain words. Relevant parts of the URLs they post, the names of the products they advertise, etc. If they have static IPs, one could ban those. Same goes for email addresses. There are several providers that offer one-time-email-addresses. Registration using one of those could be made impossible.

If I may, since this is my first post, forum spamming these days can be and is done automatically (try Ruby on Rails). Human spammers, well are they really human?

I would suggest that some sort of voting for new user posts should be installed, and if one gets 10 positively voted posts, they would be able to keep their account. Until then all new user posts should be flagged so that everyone does not waste their time, and also the really interested new users would not be easily misled to visit phony sites or to think that kreslik.com is just another forex forum full of stupid advertising.

Or put a user agreement up at sign-up time and force them to read it :-) by asking new users to first introduce themselves in a specific part of the forum, otherwise they cannot post.

In any case, there are quite a few things that the forum system here is lacking, but it is the content itself which makes the rest rather unimportant.
I don't really mind the spam for the moment.

My 0.02,

Chris

At FF they wont allow the first few posts to appear until they are examined by a mod. They also appear to have a time period that will allow you to become regular.

So idea is that first 2 posts have to be looked at, then say after a month your membership is automatically approved.

I bet several folks here would be more than happy to serve as low level mods who could flag spammers for deletion by our administrator.

Or someone like (just throwing names out) Bredin could be at SuperMod status so that he/she could delete posts and ban spammers sot that TRO wouldnt have to mess with it.

I know we don't like banning here, but these spammers are annoying as hell. They're not traders, or programmers. They don't give a hoot about anything except making a fast buck on us.

Ive used this forum before (phpBB2 i mean), If I took a job like this I would lose some signal by banning by IP and putting sitenames into the badwords list.

I cant remember if phpBB2 has the option of delaying new users posts for mod approval.
