Hello -

It looks like I've stumbled upon a great resource, many thanks in advance.

I am a newbie using Interactive Brokers. I would however like to take advantage of TRO's free indicators he has posted.

Maybe I am missing something (likely so) but I do not think I can use them in conjunction with IB's charting software (which I frickin cant stand btw)

So what is the best charting software to use in conjunction with IB? metatrader, ninjatrader, neotick? I'm reading the names of these various charting services but at a loss as which one to plop down and use!

Please advise

Best Regards,
Thebigpip

MetaTrader is free but I don't know if it works with IB.

It isn't easy to connect IB and Metatrader workstation.

You can for example use TWSLink (http://www.trade-commander.org/twslink/twslink.htm) and make own compilation with Metatrader API.
Maybe there are some examples on the net, you should search.

Or you can give a try TradeBullet (http://www.tradebullet.com/).

Or if you are a programmer you can write some complicated solution with use of DLLs and CSV files or database.

Never used Ninjatrader.
I've used SmartQuant software, but I'm interested in automated trading and it's good for automated strategies testing (but I can imagine it could be better for testing strategies that analyze and open positions on many instruments synchronically).
