EFX Order Entry

Hi,

Per recommendation from this site, I've been demoing with EFX's platform after being a Metatrader user for a while now. Having gone through the Buyzone threads and wanting to try this strategy, I have a question regarding the order entries with EFX platform.

Is there a way you can single click and enter a limit/market order combined with target and stops at once? Because of the tight target and stops used with the buyzone strategy, manually doing these orders one by one doesn't seem to work as the prices can shoot through your stops and targets before u have a chance to input them. So you experienced users, any tips?

I've tried enabling the hotkeys but no luck, getting some error.

Thanks.

YES.

EFX has a free webinar you can watch that explains it all.

You'll want a LIMIT entry with an OCO exit that has a STOP LIMIT and a LIMIT order as the EXITs.

doragio,

Don't count on EFX for hot key entry. Their platform is very unstable in this area. In fact it's why I don't use them.

Hey RicG:

I NEVER use HotKeys when trading.

Can you give me an example of where a HotKey may be use to an advantage?

I am NOT looking for a debate or argument.

Perhaps I could learn something.

Thanks Rumpled, I'll check out the webinar.

Ric, you know what, I was trialing their demo a while ago and it does have some crazy problems like trades initiating on their own and average basis prices changing, but so far since mid december it's been quite stable. Who do you recommend other than EFX?

doragio, I had the same problem when I was in demo mode. Since opening an account and trading real money I have had only one erroneous order (I called them and reported it, they researched it, credited the money lost on the "ghost" trade, and thanked me for reporting it because they found a bug). I recommend them as a broker.
