MT4 simulator scripts + Manual

A few minutes ago I sent this to 4 of the programmers here because I thought there might be copyright issues, and I thought one of them might want to try to duplicate the process.

But another look at the manual reveals this to be freeware:

Its quirky, but its MT4. Set the Sim back a month or so and go at it. You can vary the speed, so it will move real fast. So you will want to pause it while you enter the buy or sell (using scripts -- not the standard MT buy and sell)

These scripts and EA have been around for about 2 years. I found the scripts on two other forex sites so far. Here are the links:
http://www.tradingsystemforex.com/scrip ... lator.html
http://www.fxfisherman.com/forums/forex ... logue.html

Missing from these sites was the manual, which is now attached.

If you prefer a PDF manual, here is the RS link (file is too big to upload to kreslik)
http://rapidshare.com/files/339261882/T ... _setup.zip

ATTACHED:
1) self installer ( puts EA and script files in proper place)
2) manual in html
3) EA and script files only, so you have to put them in the proper places

Didn't look into it, but I had written something like this already last year. Look into my thread. You can use the VisualOrders EA to act as a simulator.

But MT4 has its limits, so I didn't really care and instead I wrote a completely separate tool where you can see multiple time frames at the same time as well as go backwards in time.

I can't believe that virtually no one has looked at this. But then again, I can't believe that I didn't really try it much either -- until today.
Blubb sounded so negative after I posted it that I figured I wouldn't waste my time. But that was a mistake. The setup manual is short and super easy to follow. Really. There's pics! :D

You can back test, blubbs mighty zones or test Bredin's SUPDem, (but you can't set them to higher time frames or they don't show up -- darn it)

You can test TRO's RAT or the original DTB. You can watch the 3 level Z TRO version with all its lines and numbers update at lightning speed... or you can slow it down to actual speed.

If you want Candles in Candles, use Blubb's Candles. The m-candle and the custom candle don't work right with it.

It will simulate ticks off the 1 minute, but they look pretty darn good. It uses the smallest time frames that it has data for. So if you try to do tick data for a year ago it will probably not look as good as it will for tick data for the last couple months, because it will be using 1 minute charts to make the tick data.

You can speed it up REAL fast or slow it down to actual speed. You can redo that bad trade you did yesterday and analyze how you fowled it up.

It works fine for many indicators except multi- time frame one. Don't think it works for indicators that calculate targets from current day and week. I see that it works with Woodies Daily Pivots which show different pivots for every day. It works withe the TRO mod of 3 level Z, changing the fibs and trend lines nicely.

You will have to experiment with your favorite indicators and horiz lines to see what works.

The major drawback is that you can't change time frames, and so the only reasonable work around is to use the Blubb candles set to 60 or 240 minutes.

Anyway, hope some of you try it. I think it may prove to be a pretty handy learning tool.

and there in your signature is a link to rita's robot.

How to make money if you can't trade? Post bs all over the place, hijacking threads, and directing people to your @#$% useless bs indicators and EAs that you will gladly sell.

I notice too that you dont have a direct link to the youtube video but in fact go thru a long link weber.clicks link with a lot of numbers. I bet you get paid some pocket change from each person who clicks you ^&*%$ link. Sorry I clicked it and made you a couple cents. hope nobody else does.
