Rather than have to switch over to a daily chart to see daily ATR I would like to plot this on any other timeframe's chart. Can't be too complicated can it?

Its not.

Its even easier if you only want the current val on your chart.

I hope this can help:

double iATR( string symbol, int timeframe, int period, int shift)

Calculates the Indicator of the average true range and returns its value
