June 9 : Enhancing Trader Performance Book Discussion

Dr. Brett Steenbarger on his new book: online discussion[/align]
Among the more interesting and inspiring books to appear about trading recently is Dr. Brett Steenbarger's book, Enhancing Trader Performance. A few weeks ago Dr. Steenbarger spoke at one of our Sunday sessions. Last week, we discussed a couple of themes of the book more generally and reviewed 2 ways to use NeoTicker in Simulated Trading.
Chapters 5, 6, and 7 are among the most inspiring and useful. They are inspiring, from my point of view, because Dr. Steenbarger suggests specific and practical steps that can be taken to enhance my own trader performance. They are entitled respectively:
- From Competence to Expertise
- Mechanics, Tactics, Strategies
- Performance Dynamics
During this session, we'll discuss the content of these chapters in detail. The objective of the session is to come away from it with a clear understanding of the content of those 3 book chapters. If you plan to attend, you'll want to purchase the book and spend some time reading in preparation for the session.
I am not an expert and this session is not a lecture. I will prepare a list of questions for the group to answer that will help to lead to a clear understanding of the 3 chapters.
