Welcome! Yes start from Drain the Banks. Its lengthly, but take your time to read and develop your skills. Rushing is the last thing any newbie should do. No one becomes a pro trader overnight, but the road is worth it.

I think i have a good set-up for long term trades. Looks promising at first glance, but need to work out the finer details. I read about it in Linda Raschke's book "Street Smarts". In the weekly charts, i look for INR7. INR7 is a day in which the day's range (today's high price minus low price) is narrower than the previous six days, and the seventh day is an inside day. The significance of this pattern is that it represents a marked decline in price volatility. Range expansion and an increase in price volatility tend to follow an INR7 day. But entry needs to be worked at. Many a times, after the break of high of the INR7, price suddenly reverses. So a break of the high or the low cannot be used as a valid entry. I am working on it, and hope to find some good entry strategy.

Happy trading O:)
