Susana,
Assuming you're using TS...
I'm trading ER2 (AB) in esignal so I'm using TRO trade zones.
My AB settings are .5 and 1.5. As I've been studying YM (no real trades yet) I believe you could start with 7 and 17 or 10 and 20. Some days have more whiplash so you'd have to paper trade to test this. Please post a screenshot when you try it out. Also, what is your daily or per trade target on YM?

Zeller,

First of all, thank you for sharing your inputs. Perhaps someone that has tested the indicator for a longer period of time can share his/her as well.

Yes I most definitely use TS.

When trading the YM I use two targets, the first is +9 and the second is actually a trailing stop. Im basically a trend follower, I look at market internals, and folow the trend trying to avoid low volume or choppy days.

The only indicator that I use right now is the TRO one for support/resistance, the slot one that has four inputs of EMAs to identify trend and this new one. Nothing else. So far, no idea on how to proceed with the new one (Buy Zone) but eventually Im sure we can find optimal values for it.

My biggest problem so far is identifying if its a choppy day or not :)

Susana,

Hubert at "AsktheTrader.com" had a short video the other day where the market didn't move 30 points in 30 minutes. He also used ADX level.

See his video here:

Hope that helps.

If you are able, weekdays, you can also tune into www.paltalk.com and TRO talks about trades with Apple, forex and several guys about futures. The group name is "Two percent club". Once you find the club save it as a favorite. It is audio and I find it very helpful. You can also ask questions via typing or audio if you have a mic hooked up.

Blessed Easter,

Zeller,

I've seen the video and sometimes it's fun to watch the free newsletter but in all honesty I'm not a big fan of either guy (H or John). Needless to say I thank you for posting it to my attention.

Patch,

I traded equities for two years or so then slowly transitioned to index futures and will never look back. However, if the room has a fair share of trading related to ER2, YM or ES I might consider taking a look. Thank you for the tip.

Oh and before I forget, Happy Easter guys!!!
