Auto Avery Trade Manager _AATM

I have really enjoyed using _AATM in the past. I set the inputs to my own preferences and found this to be very reliable and a great tool to learn about EL and how i might be able to create visual representations of different trading methods.

_AATM through _AATM4 all return the red E error message in the RS cells. I thought maybe I had lost the associated functions or perhaps missed a setting.

Is there an easy fix for this? What additional information can I post that may provide insight to the skilled eye?

The error message reads...can not find DLL library file:ELX.dll

If anyone cares, I'd post my specific use and most of my settings here for discussion.

_SMAA Tunnel has the same screen display and error message by the way. I have been trading a similar method with great results for years.

The clueless are trying to help themself!! I thought _TRO_EVALUATOR might allow me to do something similar to _AATM. They evaluator returns that same little red E in the Radar Screen.

I'm becoming certain that I am in fact the fool!

One of my mentors at the CBOE once explained to me that when I walk into the crowd in the morning I should take a look around to figure out who the fool is today. When you can't determine who is the fool turn around and head back upstairs because you are the fool. Early on I spent a lot of time upstairs!!

Avery,

I just downloaded the donational ELD's that you sent me. I noticed a couple things. Did this include ALL of the "public" ELD's as well as the donational ELD's?

Am I going to get periodic updates directly from you so I no longer have to guess about the value or source of what I am downloading?

If either is true, you are the best!

If both are true, I have a man crush on you and I may EL nightmare may have become a dream.

NO. Not all of the public ELDs.

Yes, you'll get updates.

I don't know how many times I have answered the ELX.DLL question!!!!

You need to download and install it. There should be a post about it.

Slightly less clueless! TS technical support Reinaldo H. took about two minutes to walk me through the ELX.ELD situation. Just like Avery said we downloaded and installed the program and AATM as well as the other indicators are working.

If anyone is interested in AATM or how i use it please let me know.

I will post some AATM pics in the near future. Also, I want to note something about the detractors that seem to be hounding you.

I do not value all of TRO's indicators. While I have not researched all of them it is fair to say that some TRO indicators will work better for different trading styles and for people with different attributes.

There are a handful of TRO indicators that suit my trading and my methodology development extreemly well. None of those are applied exactly the way TRO wrote them.

There are also a few TRO indicators that I looked at and decided that they where not suitable for me.

I advise anyone interested in trading to evaluate things for themselves, to keep what is useful and to discard what is not useful. To spend a great deal of time on negative feedback is a window into the experience of the author. Evaluate feedback both positive and negative the same way...learn from what is useful.

TRO is not deserving of the recent onslaught...it seems personal and contains little if any useful information.

I do have a huge concern about a high percentage of what I see posted, even on the various boards within this site.

New traders looking for the Holy Grail and almost always looking for something for nothing. I've seen posts that ask "What are the best settings to make money using moving average crossover?" Has anyone developed Tom DeMark sequential into an indicator?"

Think about how you communicate and what it says about you as a trader and as a person. TRO does not deserve the attentive critics that seem to follow him everywhere. Evaluate his work for what it represents to you, keep or build on what is useful and develop your own methods. Investigate for yourself and do your own evaluation of what you find. Remember that you have an obligation to return value where value has been received. DB
