Yet Another Platform

Postby traderstuff » Wed Aug 08, 2007 3:47 pm

I'm not sure if this program has been mentioned before, however MultiCharts can do most everything TS can do plus much more - AND can use the EasyLanguage that many are familiar with!

Although it is still in advanced beta,it allows using data from Many sources, including TS itself. :)

If interested their website is here-

I am not sure if anyone will see this post, but I cant resist some type of comment. Wisdom knows what is being sought and chance sometimes intersects knowledge. The right answer can be derived from different searches and from different paths.

The poster that diferentiated between young academic and old experience was right on target in identifying IMO the productive search. Some posters are brilliant and thier posts reveal that. Some posters also may not have any foundational basis for an interesting post, yet their contributions match the richness of the accademic and the sage floor trader.

Find what has (or may have) value, interpret the value for your own application and stay focused on the only purpose of entering a trade...making money!

What I love most about this site is the way it facilitates that exchange free from bias or pre-judgement.

Thank you all, especially Mr. Kreslic and Mr. Horton for creating, sharing and sowing value into everything you do.

What about eld's in neoticker

Postby dgbones » Mon Aug 20, 2007 1:31 pm

I have read this thread and I wonder if there will be a reliable way to "convert" eld's for use on Neoticker or if someone with those gifts might make it available. I have paid thousands over the years to developers and third parties for programing and development work. Also, I use TRO's work and have modified many of his docs for personal use. I lack programing skills and wonder how much tima and money to allocate for a "switch". Opinions please? DB

I just saw your post about moving away from TS. Move slowly when you are ready.

Your thoughts about multicharts perhaps as an alternative? Not sure if Radar works on MC.

There is, or rather was, here:

http://topdog.cc/

But the guy who has coded it says the convertor is not yet done and he doesn't have enough time to finish it. So he rather decommissioned the convertor for now.

Hi, Zen,

there are no intermediaries between me and the banks, I'm trading directly with them.

Michal, can you please elaborate on what is needed in order to start trading directly with banks? - in terms of:
(i) necessary hardware
(ii) necessary software
(iii) necessary integration works
(iii) others ...

How much time does it take to get hooked up directly to the banks? What is the procedure? Whom to speak? Is there a literature about this?

Thanks
