Sir Sedgwicke - you can try this: insert some text on your chart, right-click on it and hit "format..", change the font size and most importantly click the "Set as default" box. Then turn the indicator off and back on and you should have the text the new size.

gmoney-

Who would have thought that would work? I checked the TS forum and it seems to be common knowledge that you can't control font size in EL code, so there is a suggestion posted to do that.

Thanks for the suggestion, now I can see what I'm doing.

BTW- if anyone else is trading ER2, if you set the iOpen (in the Input field) to Open instead of DailyOpen, it will make a difference where the BuyZone paints on your screen

Sir Sedgwicke - I don't have TS but I do trade ER2, what are the iOpen and DailyOpen times?

zeller4-

Since I'm in Arizona (same as TRO), ER2 officially starts trading at 7:30a, which is 9:30a EST. However, in the iOpen field in the input box, I just enter "open" and the BuyZone takes it from there. I don't actually enter a numerical value, i.e. 0730. Guess you'll have to try it with whatever software you're using and see how it works. Good luck.

Avery,

I'm using your TRO_BuyZoneTime indicator and the text does not align right when using a tick chart. The Start Time is set to 7:30a (for here in AZ) and it is a 600 tick chart. If I switch to a time based chart the text will align correctly.

Just thought I would mention it. Any ideas?

Avery,

Let me restate the problem. What is occurring in the above image is the TRO_BuyZone and when I try to use the TRO_BuyZoneTime, it does not appear at all. In the BuyZone, the iOpen is set to open and the BuyZoneTime won't appear with any time as an input, but both work correctly when switched to a time chart.

showing buyzone history

Postby bheubach » Mon Jan 14, 2008 12:22 am

Hi Avery,
I'am using Tradstation 8.3 and want to show the buyzones for previous days, however it only plots for the next opening. This would expidite determining the correct settings for the YM that I like to trade.

Can you please tell me how to change this to show on previous days?

Also, can this be used on tick charts?

Thanks very much for creating this but I must tell that although the strategy is simple, the many posts on this are very hard to follow. Do you recommend using the tro_dynamic_fibs_SR program with it?
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my beginners questions.

You would have to use TRO BUYZONE P to plot on previous days.

I don't know about tick charts or futures..

If you are using the Buy Zone, do not use anything else. It will just confuse you.
