Kind of like the tick charts i guess.
Same pattern, up momo, down momo. Wick back into zone and fail (Is this non momo right?) and entry.

Thanks guys.

Price can only leave a zone one way, it takes too much force and orderflow to hold price at a level when forming the deception wicks. - Doji

Can someone help me understand this? Is it that it can only leave zone one way due to its closing over, but than its another momo isnt?
What is meant with the deception wicks? Im staring at this quote, try to see on a chart what is being talked about, but sorry i dont grasp it yet.

Thanks

Another zone, short again.
Must learn to hold on i guess, see the h1 zone up? Would´ve been nice...

First need to get this down, than slowly increasing lotsize.
Im done for the day.
Sorry for posting to much today, will back off a bit. Just want to fully understand this.

Thanks a lot doji.

In the above chart i've marked an H1 (overlay) momo zone. Currently we're back into the zone.

Would it be wise to skip this older momo zone, or would you recommend going to either wait for a close below with momo on M15
or on a M5 chart to see whether we get a confirmation down momo zone?

In case we had already used this old zone, we could remove it right, but what about trading back into an HTF momo zone? In this case it seems, at least up till now, that we're back into an H1 zone.

Dont want to be difficult, questions are running around through my head and im trying to keep up with them.

Phil

When any candle is formed in any direction, during the candles life The candle looks solid and real

BUT when a candle closes it is no longer a solid bar, is it? - it has wicks hanging out - thus a deception - trying to lure you in OR lure you out of your trade

thus during the candles life it aims to deceive you (well a lot of the time anyway)

btw the wicks are what I need to trade - some successful traders turn off wicks - I cant trade without them! :D [not that I am successful]

todays efforts - hopefully the charts are a tad less busy

A winning day but frustrating with the effin add

I am SICK of adding - Always price bites me (by that i mean EVERY time) - I promised myself I would never do it again - then nearly added!!!!

I wonder if I could have got a better price when price reversed

Hi all,

In the pic below i've tried to mark up the momo zone. However, i find it difficult to determine what up momo to use for the zone. What do you guys and girls do when there's (to me) no clear up momo? It seems all wicks..

Do you go in those situations one frame lower until you find some clues?

2nd question> When you have drawn your zone, waited for a pullback and opened a trade we stay in until we either take profit or it closes back against our zone with momo. Now what do you do when there's a new zone forming in between? Would you prefer taking a small loss or disregard this newer setup?

3rd> Stacking... i know... everyone has to find their edge but, are you guys THAT confident that price will continue to move in your favor that you stack by your rules? Arent one 'scared' that it might turn after the stacks? Im just trying to come up with a routine for this, and would love to hear how you do this so i can get some ideas.

Have a great weekend all.
