ZigZag Point & Figure charts

I completely agree. The swings are more significant than the price levels.

I personally don't use "psychological" price levels at all...

How about this formula for ZigZag:

1) The 2 SMA is pushing higher.
2) A candle closes & the 2 SMA is turns lower (first one from the pivot).
3) There is a low breakout on the candle where the SMA turned lower.
4) Measure for minimum retracement.

Seems to work well without having to mess around with ZigZag inputs.

This method of plotting a ZigZag is working out very well:

The closes are at the 2 SMA

If there is a color change, at or after the pivot, & a breakout of color change candle, then start measuring for min. reversal.

It has the same shape as the 2 minute chart.

Clearer picture of the ZigZag (I think so anyway).

I am also experimenting with ZigZag/Kagi Point & Figure charts; shading the squares Kagi style and coming up with ideas.
