I maintain we are like a virus that slowly kills its host and in doing so ultimately brings about its own demise...

The route cause of our suffering is we live in varying degrees of lust and this lust causes us to do such dreadful things onto others.

That's true Jalarupa...

I have no interest in spending my whole life hoarding money in a bank account.

The world doesn't need more "successful" investors, traders, bankers, business people...

The only way I can motivate myself to take from the bankers is knowing that the money will get redirected into a more useful place.

I have no interest in accumulating massive wealth for personal gain.

Quality of life does not go up any once you make your basic cost of living, in fact I would argue that it actually goes back down when you make more and more money.

DRAIN THE BANKS AND THAN DO GOOD WITH MONEY is my plan...

:)

My single desire is to own enough land to be able to control my food

I love steak so I'm working to capture enough space to have my own organic farm land. Maybe 100 heads of cattle maximum. Some chickens... Whatever I can't possibly consume I'd be thrilled to share with the public.

I unfortunately look at America as a sad state of affairs. The highest standard of living in the world and the most pathetic health level anywhere. The most unimpressive life expectancy anywhere with even close to this standard of living.

Highest levels of cancer, heart disease, and obesity on the planet. There comes a point where it's obviously not a conversation of free will and we chose to do this to ourselves. We're corporate lab rats and it bothers me to no extent.

I wanted to thank Jalarupa for recommending the "Miswak" product. I'm not particularly familiar with the plant product itself but my eyes are open and I'm looking for it down here. I use a toothpaste from "Desert Essence" which is gluten free, SLS free, soy free, paraben free, and fluoride free. It's absolutely fantastic, the primary interest of mine is that it has Neem and Tea Tree oils which are very potent anti-fungicides.

Truly outstanding product. It's just short of $7 or $8 a tube, but well worth it. Not to mention it's delicious

I'm not particularly certain if youtube is region locked

in the event it is I hope you can find this movie in your region:

Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lifetime
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao_Hs2nNQDA

I wanted to start including a list of movies that hopefully you guys will help me add too in the near future...

For those of you who don't know, I am 22. Probably one of the youngest who have spent a great deal of time here (+2 years now). I've been reading and reading long before I felt the desire to start posting, and even then I try to keep to myself.

That being said, there are hundreds of CLASSIC movies I just haven't seen, and haven't even heard of. For instance, I've never seen a John Wayne movie... I will, but it's just the way the world of today works.

So I've been looking for inspiration recently, trying to keep myself and my mind out of the gutter so to speak, and fill my thoughts with something more positive and find more positive input and influences along the way.

I don't know if we need discuss why any of these movies are so great or inspirational, but I certainly wouldn't fight it.

Along the lines of the movie linked above I wanted to recommend:

Food Inc.

To anyone who eats

As far as inspirational movies go I've recently watched:

The Aviator (2004)
It's a wonderful life (1946)
Citizen Kane (1941)

and was very impressed and wanted to recommend them to anyone who hasn't seen them or heard of them

Maybe the wall street movies or the boiler room for those who aren't familiar. I'm essentially looking for something with a good message or something that helps build the drive

The Network (1976)
for anyone who hasn't seen it

Please make your recommendations, I'll take interest in almost anything

I've seen many of those, all great films!

Movies:

The Matrix - absolutely brilliant
Cloud Atlas - comes out in one week, check out the trailer!
In Time - In the future, time becomes currency

All those are interesting movies that relate back to our current system...

I loved "Inception"

"Food Matters", good movie that is like the "Food Inc." movie.
