:smt023 This one triggered right at the open ..shows up well on a 1 min chart..it also had some divergence ...don't want to interfere with your thread guys ..but I was pulled in by your ES trading ..Oil is too fast for my slow brain ..ha ha .(Doji..too bad about the final 4 ..maybe next year ..)

The retrace 123 also has some divergence...

I don't have the AO on my platform so I put the 34ema and 3sma directly on the price with a 1 or 3 minute line chart.
between 8am ET to 10:30am there was 3 crosses with 123 pattern for over 15 points on the ES today.
Are you serious right now....a line chart and 2 moving averages. Maybe everyone is making trading too hard? #-o
A solid 80 ticks a week on the ES would make me happy and this could be the answer.

Enough charts for awhile I need to rest the brain. Thanks

I know what you mean; I put the line chart on the 3 minute, after DC said that there is usually a 1-2-3 around the open price, and lo-&-behold there it was in all it's perfect simplicity, exactly as he said.

But I can't go changing up my systems every time a new girl walks in the room. :)

Just to join the club, I have one chart set up like that and sitting there on a separate screen and if I'm working something, I just drag the pair onto it and it gives such a clean and clear additional view.

But I can't go changing up my systems every time a new girl walks in the room.

Then again, I'm a slut. :P
